Head coach Graham McAdam accepted the trophy from former SPL executive chairman Lex Gold at Carluke Masonic Hall, richly deserved recognition for the under-14 Milton 2000 side winning its second consecutive promotion this season.

“I was very honoured that we managed to win Team of the Year,” Graham said.

“We’ve come a long way – from the seven-a-side ranks to now playing at 11-a-side level.

“I thought that the Gazette ceremony was a superbly run night, with well thought out awards categories.”

After going up from LFDA Division C last season, Milton Rovers 2000s – who play home matches at Carluke’s John Cumming Stadium – earned another promotion from Division B in this campaign.

Indeed, there is still a chance that Rovers could win the Division B title, as they are nine points clear at the top having played all their league matches.
