Indoor bowlers reach national team finals
This is a mixed competition of four ladies and six men playing singles, pairs, triples and fours and is a very hard-fought competition.
The team have been excellent throughout all of their matches and deserve their place in the final. Very well done to all the players. At present we do not know the details of the final but will advise as I am sure many of the club players will be there to cheer them on.

Hide AdIt is also a very busy time at the club with Glasgow and District competitions in full flow. There is an added incentive this year to reach the finals as the games will be taking place at our own stadium in Cumbernauld on Sunday, April 13. Last weekend several local teams were successful and progressed through to the finals.
The senior triples team had a very good win over Whiteinch, the gent’s rinks, with skip T Simpsonalso had a fine victory and the gent’s singles representative, D. Geal, was another successful player.
Unfortunately the ladies triples were very narrowly beaten by Blantyre at the Allander in a very tight match. The result was in the balance right up until the last end but luck was not with the local team.
This week-end there are other semi-final matches being played at several locations throughout the area and we have more chances of having other teams in the finals.
On Wednesday the final of the ladies singles will take place at noon between L. Fleming and I. Hannah.
Good luck to all of the players in their future games.
