LIFELONG Celtic fan Caitlin Kelly, of Carluke, has made a dream move to the Glasgow giants’ under-17 girls team.

C Centre half Caitlin (15), of Kintyre Wynd, put pen to paper on a short term contract after impressing Celtic coaches when playing against them for Hamilton Accies girls team.

“I’ve played four or five times against Celtic in the past year and I feel that I’ve done all right against them,” Caitlin said.

“My best game for Accies against Celtic came when we got a 3-3 draw in August. One of the Celtic coaches told me afterwards that he liked the way I read the game.

“Signing for Celtic means a lot to me because my family is very Celtic orientated.

“My dad John sometimes gets tickets for Celtic matches and I go along with him.”

Caitlin, who expects to make her Celtic debut in a friendly against Raith Rovers this Sunday, will now be playing in the same club side as her friend Rachel De Young, an S4 classmate at Wishaw-based St Aidan’s High School.
