Two dead after shooting

The incident took place at Meadowhead Farm and Stables at 8.10am this morning (Tuesday).

The two men who died were aged 59 and 53, while the injured man was said to be the son of the 59-year-old.

Police confirmed at a news conference that the 39-year-old had driven to a nearby pub, the Auldhouse Arms, following the shooting.

He is currently in hospital being treated for gunshot wounds to his legs.

The 53-year-old was a registered firearms owner, but police would not say if he had taken his own life.

Police say thre is no danger to the public and they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

Officers said they were now investigating a linked incident in the Clarkston area.
