This scarecrow Trumps the lot!

He may be a busy man campaigning to be the next president of the United States, but it looks like Donald Trump has dropped everything to join in the village festivities.

A multitude of weird and wonderful scarecrows has appeared in gardens and outside shops and businesses throughout Bothwell, with Kirklands Crescent looking to take the title of Super Scarecrow Street for the third year.

But this Trump model in St Andrews Avenue, Bothwell, has certainly been turning heads.

Events and exhibitions have been taking place all week and the climax of the festival is on Sunday with a parade to Bothwell Primary School where will be an afternoon of fun, followed by a gala concert at Bothwell Parish Church.

Saturday’s programme includes a farmers’ market, children’s activities at Bothwell Primary School and Bothwell’s Got Talent at St Bride’s Primary.
