Roadworks ahead

Major roadworks are planned for Busby Road next month.They will take place from Friday-Friday, October 9-16.The works will be in two locations and run at the same time.The first is at the southbound lanes between Strawhill Road and Sheddens Roundabout.A contraflow to manage traffic will be put in place on the northbound lane.Junctions at the side roads of Strawhill Road and Overlee Road will be closed throughout.The junctions at Cecil Street and Hillview Drive will be restricted to left turn in and out only.The second location is at the westbound lane at the layby on the approach to Sheddens Roundabout.That will see the closure of the westbound carriageway of Busby Road between Cartsbridge Road and Sheddens Roundabout.The work has been timed to coincide with the October school holidays to minimise disruption.Diversion routes will be in place for each closure, which are legal requirements of health and safety.Homes within the area of the works along with those in the vicinity will receive letters informing them of the details.
