Planners greenlight new retirement homes
Developers have got the go-ahead to transform a former eyesore into retirement flats.
McCarthy & Stone will build 33 apartments, specifically designed for people over the age of 60, on the derelict site of the former petrol station on the junction of Kirkintilloch Road and Stuart Drive, in Bishopbriggs
The planning application was recently approved, with construction scheduled to begin in Spring 2015.
