In saddle for cycling saga
This is his way of saying “thanks” to the hospital staff who have been treating his three-year daughter Abby who has cerebal palsy.
And already he has been promised almost £4000 before the five-man cycling party set out on Saturday on their estimated 1409km (881 mile) journey.

Hide AdIain (32) will be accompanied on the fund-raising venture by Abby’s uncles Graham (35) and David (26) and two friends.
Ian said: “Work-mate Joe Emms and Stephen Menzies, whom I used to play hockey with, contacted me as soon as thy heard about my plans to have the sponsored cycle to offer their support.
“Already, we have £1,600 from a Just Giving web page we set up, £1600 from sponsorship forms and £700 in cheques. Our target is to raise £10,000 but this might be just a wee bit ambitious – our plan is to share the money equally between the Bobath Projects at Yorkshill and Port Glasgow.”
Iain added: “We set out from Land’s End on Saturday and hope to complete the journey by June 4.
