Lanark Lanimer celebrations with 101-year-old queen

McClymont House in Lanark has joined in the Lanimer celebrations for many years, but this year it decided to crown its own queen.

On Wednesday Nan Oswald who is 101 years old was dressed in a purple cloak trimmed with ‘ermine’, then crowned by Grace Dickson, in front of a painted backdrop of St Nicholas Church at Lanark Cross.

Also on display was a dress worn by one of the care managers as a lady in waiting in 1988.
