Choir members recently donated £1,250 — half the proceeds from their festive concert — to the learning disability charity, which also runs from Giffnock.

Nicola Walsh, Cosgrove’s community fundraising officer, told The Extra: “We’re really pleased to have received this donation from In Harmony.

“The donation is going to be used by our supported employment project, which is based in our charity shop on Skirving Street, Shawlands.

“We’re in the process of securing funding to refurbish an area of the shop which will be used as a quiet learning space for our supported employment students and we will use this donation to buy new educational resourced for the facility.

“I’d like to thank the choir for their generosity.”

The charity’s benefactor In Harmony formed in 2012, and now has 140 members of all ages (as well as a waiting list to join).

The community choir rehearses weekly nearby, at Giffnock South Parish Church.
