Dr Guy Scott is Zambia’s interim president
A DESCENDANT of the founders of Carluke’s famous old jamworks has become the new interim president of the African state of Zambia.
Dr Guy Scott assumed the role after the death of incumbent president Michael Sata late last month.
In succeeding his good friend, Dr Scott became the first white African head of state since South Africa’s FW de Klerk in 1994 and the first white head of state in a democratic African state.
