Hide AdMilngavie Councillor Jim Gibbons said: “I am pleased the road is being resurfaced as this has been long overdue, but I am deeply concerned about the traffic chaos that there could be in the Milngavie and Bearsden area.
“The area is not suitable for increased volumes of traffic and there have been a number of accidents in the Craigdhu Road area.
“It is the half term school holiday but this only lasts until the Thursday, so please plan your journey ahead and HGV’s should avoid going up and down South Mains Road and the surrounding residential streets.”
Temporary traffic signals and pedestrian crossings are to be used to control movements at various locations as required. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 8am and 6pm.
