College celebrates one world for charity

LANGSIDE College celebrated culture and diversity recently for its One World Day.

Students and staff were invited to the refectory for Henna tattoos, music, dancing and sampling of world cuisines.

The event — which raised £100 — was organised by charity officer Arif Iqbal, in aid of local benefactors Amina, the Muslim Women’s Resource Centre and Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid.

Samina Ansari, from Amina, said: “We were honoured. It was great to engage with the Langside College community and raise awareness about our services and campaigns.”
