Carstairs Junction houses to be upgraded
VICTORY is being celebrated this week by residents of a Clydesdale village who brought their claims of unfair treatment over a housing improvement programme to the Gazette.
Earlier this year we reported how some residents in the Blackburn-type, post-war houses in Carstairs Junction felt they had been unfairly left out of a modernisation programme.
While 64 of the homes were to benefit from the Scottish Governmnent funded and South Lanarkshire Council-organised upgrade project, 45 homes were left out.
