The bunny was found on Friday, May 27 by a member of the public in a private garden and was handed in to the Bearsden Vets4Pets branch, who enlisted the help of Kirkintilloch based rabbit dedicated rescue charity - Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care.

The volunteer team have nicknamed the rabbit ‘Milny’, an abbreviation of the town where she was found.

Efforts to identify an owner have so far been unsuccessful and the rescue are now appealing to the public for help.

Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care has a number of foster carers operating throughout Scotland, and is seeking support from anyone who may be able to help them find the original owner.

David Bell, co-director of the charity, said: “It is very common for strays to be found at this time of year, especially with such wonderful weather.

People often only let their rabbits out for exercise when the weather is good, and so it may be easier for the rabbit to escape if the garden is insecure. She appears to be particular young too, and so it may be that she is a relatively new pet, and I am sure her owners must be missing her.
