Call for more defibrillators in Lanark
A LANARK man has called for more defibrillators to be available in the town centre in case someone becomes critically ill.
Robert Donnachy, of St Mary’s Court, is the co-ordinator of Lanark Community First Responders.
The small team of local volunteers provide life-saving treatment to members of the public BEFORE the Emergency Services arrive including giving patients oxygen, and using defibrillators which enable the heart to return to a normal rhythm after a cardiac arrest.
