Battlefield business heads bring in charity cash

The global charity scheme encourages schools and other groups to borrow a £1 micro loan and turn it into as much money as possible within a month.

Battlefield’s finest held an event with teachers in the stocks, a raffle and more, as well as a school disco and bake sale — raising an impressive £1,458 to help the world’s poorest people work their own way out of poverty.

P6 teacher Karen-Marie Morrison said: “Many of the children also raised money on their own outwith school - we’re very proud of them all.”
