Baby’s first Christmas at city chambers

Calling all Glasgow mums and dads — registration is open for Baby’s First Christmas.

Lord provost Sadie Docherty launched the annual scheme last week with help from Dominic Dougall (nine months) and Joseph McLaughlin (13 weeks), as proud mums (and sisters) Nichola Dougall and Kerry Fullerton looked on.

The Christmas event sees 1,000 of the city’s newborns invited to a special celebration where they receive a trinket and certificate.

The first 250 infants registered can look forward to being photographed with the lord provost at the city chambers do on December 6.

She said: “New mums and dads really look forward to their first Christmas with a new baby. I’m delighted to be able to offer this exclusive event, to mark a magical occasion, for all families.”
