Arrest after dog attack in Abronhill
A 56-year-old man has been arrested in Abronhill after his dog was allowed to run free and bite a small child.
The alleged incident happened in at 6.45pm in Medlar Road yesterday (Monday)
It’s alleged that the man allowed the dog to be out of control in a public place, after the animal approached a five-year-old boy.
The child was bitten by the dog and police were called.
Thankfully the child was not seriously injured in the attack.
Police have arrested the dog’s owner and a report on this incident has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
