What’s on in Clydesdale this weekend?

THERE are plenty of fun-filled activities for you to enjoy in Clydesdale this weekend.

On Saturday the Forth Gala Committee members have a coffee morning in St Paul’s Church Hall from 10am to 2pm while in Lanark St Nicholas Church hosts its spring fayre at the same time.

A charity fete and fun day takes place in Carluke’s Kirkton Church Hall from 10.30am to 2pm while Abington bowlers will open their green from 2pm.

In the evening, Lanark Round Table hosts its ladies night in Lanark Agricultural Centre from 7pm and Biggar Big Band will play a VE Day concert in the town’s Municipal Hall from 7.30pm.

At the same time the Gazette will host its annual Youth Football Awards evening in Carluke Masonic Hall with eight Clydesdale sides attending.

On Sunday, Carnwath Gala Committee will host a fun day in King George V Park from noon until 4pm and there is an organ recital in Carluke’s St Andrew’s Church from 3pm.

And Lanark drama group ICE will host auditions for its upcoming show Grease; principal dance auditions are from 3pm to 5pm with the remaining dance auditions from 5.30pm to 7pm.
