Four events are being held at the charity’s Lanarkshire office in Dalziel Street, two for people living with dementia and two for stakeholders.

Community activity organiser Beau Nieuwenhuijs said: “Motherwell served as a national and international example when it was included in the dementia friendly pilot in 2012.

“The new community connections team is reviewing the toolkit that has been used with various businesses and organisations since then and we’d like to include and listen to local voices in this process.”

Ms Nieuwenhuijs said: “We will be discussing dementia friendly communities and listening to the experiences of people with a diagnosis is crucial to the success of the project.”

The consultations for stakeholders are on Monday, December 5, from 6.30-8pm and Friday, December 9, from 2-3.30pm.
