Centurions earn new glory
The action-packed event saw BMX riders from across Scotland and England battling it out for the honour of winning in the ScottishPower-backed event.
The summer regional round three contest was hosted by Musselburgh Monarchs at Western Titans, as part of a series which will run till October.

Hide AdScottish cycling’s rising talent is showcased in a welter of fast action and keenly contested encounters where – on current form – Cumbernauld’s finest appear set to notch up a year to remember.
The Clydebank event featured races for young male and female BMC riders as well as some veterans and masters in the Championship Men section – featuring winners from Cumbernauld, Clydebank, Musselburgh and Preston.
Western Titans trumped with eight first places including Joseph Haylor (Novice 11-12), Robyn Paton (Female 13-14), Harrison Bell (Male 9), Daniel McCrory (Male 11), Jack Baillie (Male 13), Louie Craig (Male 16), Neil Morrison (Cruiser 30-39) and Simone Cumming (Masters).
Hosts Musselburgh Monarchs sped to success with six victories including John Marshall (Novice 9-10), Jake Nisbet (Male 7), Logan Taylor (Male 8), Jay Davidson (Male 14) and Ian Archibald (in both Cruiser 40-44 and Veteran categories).

Hide AdCumbernauld Centurions’ six top podium positions were achieved by Reuben Bill (Novice 6 & under race), Callum Ballantyne (Novice 13-14), Cameron Reid (Male 12), Callum Hale (Male 17-24), Megan Higgans (Female 11-12) and Sean Boyle (Cruiser 45-plus).
Next time the action comes straight home, with a fixture at Cumbernauld – where the Centurions obviously hope to shine on their home turf.
In one of the country’s fastest-growing sports, it’s an arena in which they’ve already proved they have the capacity to excel.
