The bus operator said the decision had been made in a bid to boost the night-time economy in the city and ease the pressure felt by recent rail disruption.
The network, consisting of 11 routes, will return from Friday, covering travel from the city centre across Glasgow and the surrounding areas including Clydebank, Paisley, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride, Hamilton, Motherwell and Wishaw.

Standard single journey tickets for city or local journeys are available from £2.65, while the 6pm PLUS ticket covers travel on the regular network of buses after 6pm, as well as your journey home in early hours. Priced from only £4, the 6pm PLUS ticket is available on the First Bus app and on bus using exact fare, contactless card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Young Persons Concessionary Travel Card is also valid on night bus services, meaning all under-22s with a valid card can travel free of charge on any of the night buses.
Graeme Macfarlan, commercial director for First Bus Scotland, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the return of First Glasgow’s night bus network, supporting the city’s night-time economy while also helping people get home safely at the weekend.
