This cut in the weeknight service of the Out of Hours doctor service, based at Lanark’s Lockhart Hospital, was revealed to the Gazette this week in an anonymous `whistleblower’ message.

Hide AdIts contents have now largely been confirmed by NHS Lanarkshire, which claims that the single doctor covering Clydesdale on Monday to Friday nights represents “an excess of capacity”. The post is to be cut on September 1.
