Use just a sprinkle of fairy dust to fly to Neverland as the pantomime season returns to Motherwell Theatre this winter.
Fresh from the recent success of Snow White, Cinderella, Wizard of Oz and Aladdin producers Spillers presents Peter Pan from Thursday, November 17, to Sunday, January 8.
A funny show, with lots of fun, music and dancing along the way the classic panto always brings a little festive magic and an awfully big adventure to Motherwell.
Leave the world behind in the company of Nanny Annie McHaggis (Motherwell’s own Gary Ellis), take the second star to the right and then it’s straight on till morning to reach Neverland where you’ll meet Peter Pan (Stewart McCheyne) and his Lost Boys, face Captain Hook (Jamie Bannerman) and have plenty of laughs with his sick-kick Smee (long-standing panto favourite Ian ‘Sheepie’ Smith), but watch out for the crocodile . . . he’s behind you!
North Lanarkshire provost Jim Robertson met with some of the cast as tickets for this year’s show went on sale.
He said: “Each year our pantos get better and better and this is reflected in the record-breaking audiences attending.
“The quality of the productions reflect the hard work and professionalism of the actors, stage-crew and directors I would encourage everyone to go along and enjoy some festive fun at this year’s pantomime
“Book your tickets fast before they are gone and you miss out on the unforgettable panto experience at Motherwell Theatre.”
