Fresh from US chart success with legendary actor Christopher Lee, international singer Li Li performs in Magical Mozart By Candlelight.
Besides being a renowned Madam Butterfly interpreter, Chinese-born soprano Li Li recently recorded a Christmas single, a metal take on Jingle Bells, called Jingle Hell, with Lee (pictured) which reached number 18 on the USA Billboard charts.
Li Li said: “I still cannot believe it, not only the honour of singing with such a legend, but even reaching the charts.
“I am a secret metal lover, so was most grateful for this wonderful head banging opportunity, it’s so cool.”
She has also made her debut on Italian national TV – RAI 1 at the Concerto dell’Epifania, singing Ennio Morricone’s music, and also appeared in Eurosport TV’s Superkombat’s World Grand Prix Final which was broadcast live in over 90 countries.
Magical Mozart By Candlelight comes to Hamilton Town House on Friday, February 7.
This sumptuous fully costumed show immerses the audience in the wonderful music of one of the world’s greatest composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
With beautiful costumes, music, and of course candlelight, Magical Mozart By Candlelight transports back to the sumptuous days of Salzburg and Vienna of the late 18th century.
This is an evening of classical music and songs which includes excerpts from the maestro’s operas The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Così Fan Tutte among others, plus many more favourite vocal and instrumental moments from Mozart’s masterpieces.
Li Li appears with fellow soprano Diana Evgenieva Vasileva and the baritone Denver Martin Smith joined by the European Baroque Ensemble.
