We finally manage to go beyond Thunderdome as the rebellious twosome team up with a clan trying to cross the Australian desert which leads to all manner of trouble.
The man behind the original trilogy George Miller, who is recent years has been better known for the likes of Happy Feet and Babe: Pig in the City, returns to take charge of the post-apocalyptic, gas-guzzling wasteland, as director and co-writer.
