A Navy SEAL sniper returns home after four tours of duty but finds he can’t leave the war behind in American Sniper, out now at the Showcase at Bargeddie.

Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper) takes his sole mission - protect his comrades - to heart and becomes one of the most lethal snipers in American history.

His pinpoint accuracy not only saves countless lives but also makes him a prime target of insurgents.

Despite grave danger and his struggle to be a good husband and father to his family back in the States, Kyle serves four tours of duty in Iraq.

However, when he finally returns home to wife Taya (Sienna Miller) and their four kids, he finds that he cannot leave the war behind.

Directed by Clint Eastwood, the movie was adapted for the screen by Jason Dean Hall from the autobiography of the real Chris Kyle, who Iraqi insurgents nicknamed ‘the Devil of Ramadi’.

American Sniper is rated 15 and runs 132 minutes.
