Our Lady’s Light Musical Society is holding open auditions next month for its early November production of White Christmas.
If you can sing and dance like Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Vera Ellen or Rosemary Clooney then this is your chance to shine.
The open auditions will be held on Saturday, June 6, for the production being performed at Motherwell Theatre from November 3-7.
The show, set in the 1950s, centres round two ex-army buddies, now a Broadway song-and-dance act who, with veterans of their army division and assorted entertainers set up an event in Pine Tree, Vermont, on Christmas Eve to honour their wartime commander, General Waverly who is struggling to run a country inn).
It features great Irving Berlin standards such as White Christmas, Blue Skies, Sisters, I Love a Piano, Let Me Sing, I’m Happy and many more.
An absolute treat for lovers of musicals, whether on stage or in the audience.
OLMS is throwing open to everyone with the talent required the chance to appear in all of the top-line principal parts, Bob Wallace (Bing in the film), Phil Davis, Betty and Judy Haynes, General Waverly and others.
Already cast are Martha Watson, Ralph Sheldrake and Susan Waverly.
