Scotland’s Theme Park, M&D’s, open its doors for a special preview weekend, signalling the end of the winter season.

The Strathclyde Park attraction will re-open to the public this Saturday and Sunday and give visitors a taste of what’s to come during the fun-filled summer months.

With over 40 major rides and attractions, M&D’s has something for all the family.

Thrill-seekers can enjoy an exciting range of white knuckle rollercoasters and rides, including the Tsunami, Tornado, White Water, Magic Carpet, Runaway Mine Train, Captain’s Curse swing-boat ride and Devils Island Golf.

Younger kids can enjoy the Big Apple ride, Big Wheel, Flying Jumbos and Krazy Congo soft play area.

M&D’s is also home to Amazonia, Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest, with a collection of animals and plant life unique to any zoo in Britain.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “It will be great to officially open for the first time this 2014 season.

“The preview weekend allows our visitors to come down and enjoy the outside rides at a discounted price.”

For just £8.95, visitors can buy a Ride All-Day Wristband which will enable them to enjoy the outside rides and a game of golf at Devils Island for just a fraction of the normal price.

The special tickets, which normally cost £14.10 or £18.50 depending on height, can be purchased in advance at for further discounts.

Matthew added: “There really is something for everyone at M&D’s, entry to the park is free so only those that use the rides and attractions have to pay.

“Customers can spend as little or as much as they want, making it a great day out for all the family.”
