The Dundee-based band are racing back onto the music scene after a sell-out gig at the Barrowlands last week.

The Totepool Music Festival Racenight on Saturday will see the indie rockers join headline act Glasvegas, The Voice winner Stevie McCrorie, Motherwell group The LaFontaines as well as Kelvin, Indigo Velvet, 100 Fables and The Bar Dogs.

Kyle Falconer, lead vocalist of The View, said: “We can’t wait to play live on stage at Hamilton Park Racecourse.

“It’s been 10 years since we released our debut album so we are looking forward to playing some of our old music that the fans know and love as well as music from our fifth studio album we released last year.”

Ashley Moon, head of marketing and operations at Hamilton Park, added: “Hosting a music festival has always been a big ambition of ours and we’re delighted to be showcasing some of the biggest bands on the Scottish music scene.”

The first acts take to the stage from 12.30pm, then the racing action takes centre stage mid-afternoon before the live music starts up again from 7-11pm.
