Wrangholm’s top bowlers take their bow at closing prizegiving

NEW Stevenston’s Wrangholm Hall Bowling Club saluted their winning players at the end of season trophy presentation.

Belt-Up triples winners were Mari Shaw, Graeme Hewitt and Scott MacDonald while the runners-up were Roy MacDonald, Ian Currie and John Blades.

Two-bowl singles winner was Michael Edwards and runner-up was John Russell while Ian Dykes was the Monday night promiscuous winner.

Mixed pairs winners were Craig Sinclair and Heather Rankin with Jean Galletly and Charlie Ferguson runners-up.

Ladies’ balloted pairs winners were Lynne Colligan and Heather Rankin while the runners-up were Mary Lafferty and Claire Douglas.

Gents’ balloted pairs winners were Tommy Hughes and Craig Sinclair who defeated Ian Currie and Andy Affleck. Gents’ nominated pairs winners were Paul Simpson and Fraser Dykes, and Mark Sinclair and Chris Reilly claimed the runners-up spot.

McDougall winner was Heather Rankin with Mari Shaw runner-up. Heather was also the Friskey winner with Claire Douglas runner-up spot.

Paul Simpson was handicap winner ahead of Mark Sinclair while Fraser Dykes was vice-president’s winner and Ian Currie was runner-up.

Ladies’ senior champion was Mari Shaw and runner-up was Janet Steel, and gents’ senior champion was William Brown with runner-up John Blades.

Ladies’ champion was Claire Douglas ahead of Heather Rankin with David MacDonald taking the gents’ title and Michael Edwards runner-up.
