Motherwell went into the SPL split following a 2-2 draw with St Mirren.

Michael Higdon gave the Fir Park side the lead with a header only for Conor Newton to equalise with a long range drive before the break.

Lewis Guy put the visitor’s ahead, but James McFadden rescued a point curling a free kick into the top corner.

The result means ’Well are three points ahead of Inverness in the race for second place with five games remaining.
