Thorniewood United’s outstanding Emirates Scottish Junior Cup tie with Camelon has been switched from Robertson Park to the indoor pitch at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

The club have been trying to get the third round replay with the East Superleague side played since November, but have been hit by a succession of postponements due to bad weather.

A waterlogged pitch forced the tie to be called off for the sixth week running last Saturday - and the game has now been moved to Ravenscraig. It will take place this Saturday with a 4pm kick-off.

Thorniewood haven’t played since forcing a 3-3 draw away to Camelon, former winners of the trophy, in the first game on November 17.

There will be extra-time and penalties if required on Saturday and the reward for the winners will be a fourth round tie away to Yoker Athletic, due to be played on January 19.

Bellshill Athletic were also left without a game on Saturday when their Central League First Division match against Port Glasgow at Fullarton Park was called off.

Athletic have another home game scheduled for this Saturday when, they take on Shettleston, kick-off 1.45pm.

The sides have already met once this season, Bellshill winning 2-0 at Shettleston in a Surridge Sectional League Cup tie in August.
