IT’s first against fourth in the SPL on Saturday as high-flying Motherwell travel to Paisley to face fellow surprise package St Mirren.
’Well extended their lead at the top of the SPL with a 1-0 win over Hearts on Sunday and manager Stuart McCall, while not getting carried away has been delighted with his side’s start to the season.
He said: “It’s a good start and something that we’re delighted with – but it’s nothing more. We’ll try to keep building on that as we go to St Mirren on Saturday.”
’Well will be without the services of Keith Lasley for the St Mirren clash after the midfielder was sent off against Hearts and Steven Saunders who was injured played for Scotland u-21s.
However they are set to welcome back defender Shaun Hutchinson after he was injured in a training ground incident last week.
Although there have been no further additions on the pitch, off the park ‘Well have made changes with Gordon Marshall returning to the club as goalkeeping coach to replace Stewart Kerr who has left for family reasons.
