ANDREW Barton and Sean Cassidy, of Strathclyde Park Rowing Club, were the only Scots to win an event at the Home International Regatta in Cork.
Building on their silver medal success at the British championships, Andrew and Sean rowed to victory in the junior 18 pairs after a hard-fought race in difficult weather.
Senior club members Joseph Barton and Daniel Shankland were third in the men's lightweight pairs.
Joseph, Daniel and Andrew were also selected for the men's eight event.
Meanwhile, a civic reception was held at Strathclyde Hilton Hotel to mark the world under-23 rowing championships which took place at Strathclyde Park last month.
The event attracted competitors from 50 countries. The park's rowing course was upgraded recently to become Britain's first Olympic-standard eight-lane 2,000 metres course.
