FOOTBALL side AFC Ravenscraig have extended their sponsorship deal with Motherwell-based Acumen Steel Processing Ltd.
The amateur side have been in partnership with Acumen Steel since 2009, with the company covering the £400 cost of new Adidas tops as part of the latest deal.
Jim Tierney, Acumen Steel managing director, said: “We have been happy and proud to sponsor Ravenscraig as the name will always have strong links with Lanarkshire and, in particular, the steel industry.
“A strong relationship has been forged between ourselves and the club and that is something that we hope to continue in the coming years.”
AFC Ravenscraig were formed in 2003, 11 years after the steelworks closed.
Club manager Gary Reilly said: “We felt it was important to keep the Ravenscraig name alive.
“Acumen have been excellent with us for a few years now and donations such as this one will help the club immensely.”
