The club then got another major boost when it received sponsorship backing from Livingston Autoparts.
Instructor Kirsty Izat said: “We were delighted with the sponsorship from Livingston Autoparts. It means such a lot to everyone at the club.
“The sponsorship allowed us to purchase tracksuits for the club members, two new banners which are proudly displayed and the money will also help subsidise our competitors who are heading out Italy in July this year, as well as new equipment for the club and subsidising national tournaments.
“We would all like to thank Mr Chris Burnside for the gesture of the sponsorship.”
Kirsty, a 4th Degree Black Belt, and her students train at Uddingston Sports Centre, Monday and Wednesday nights with classes available for tots, juniors and adults.
On Thursday nights the club also runs an assisted learning class for kids who need more support.
