Bellshill Sharks swimmer Adam Airlie landed a bronze medal in the recent Scottish Schools swimming championships at Aberdeen.
Adam was successful in the 100 metres backstroke at the event for which a large number of Sharks swimmers qualified.
Other top Sharks performer were Luke Ramsey and Vhairi Munro who reached the finals of the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly respectively.
And in the 200m freestyle relay events Shannyn Reilly, Louisa Carroll, Erin Speed and Rachel Healey finished seventh with St Gerard’s Primary while Lea Heffernan and Leah McNally helped Knowetop to eighth place.

In the West District Grand Prix at Tollcross in Glasgow a number of club swimmers achieved new best times while at the Bathgate open meet there were gold medalds for Adam Airlie (4), Thomas Balfour (2), William Balfour (2), Lauren Addyman and Katie Lynch, silvers for Lauren Addyman, Thomas Balfour (2) and William Balfour and bronze for Liam McDougall, plus three golds and a silver in relays.
