Stuart McCall makes his first visit to the Energy Assets Arena as Motherwell face Livingston in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday, September 25.
McCall is determined his side will do much better this season than losing at the same stage to Rangers a year ago.
He said: “There are a lot Championship sides in there who are all very similar and pose the same threat, Falkirk, Hamilton, Morton, Dundee, and Livingston who we got.
“We would’ve liked a home game, but it’s fine for the fans and apparently a nice park, although don’t think I have ever been to Livingston, so will be new for me.
“We saw in the last round how tight the games can be between Premiership and lower league sides so really all we are looking to do is progress.
“It won’t be difficult to improve on last year’s cup performances, going out in the early rounds of both competitions, and the Rangers game was probably the most disappointing of the season.
“Every club wants to get to Hampden and we’re no different.”
