Kickboxing trio are ready for action

THREE members of Holytown’s Impact Kickboxing stable are in action at the Cleland Club on Saturday.

Lightweight Jamie McGinnis defends his European amateur title against Dan Casey, while his brother Mark is on the hunt for gold when he faces Craig Black for the British amateur crusierweight title.

Trainer Jan Cree said: “Casey lost his last fight to Sergio Garcia whom Jamie has beaten twice, but he’s a seasoned competitor so won’t be taking anything for granted.

“Black broke Mark’s nose in a bout last year, which perhaps caused him to miss three fights and his development is a little behind, but he is highly motivated and this will be a good test to see what level he is at.”

Heavyweight Ryan Czarnocki makes his professional debut against Jason Dabbs and Cree is delighted with his progress.

He said: “Ryan is looking really good. He dropped a few kilos and couldn’t be working harder.”

Doors open at 7pm on Saturday.

The card is being streamed live at Golden Belt TV.
