Glasgow will be one of six UK cities to host a Sports Relief games event to raise money for disadvantaged people.
The Glasgow Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games will take place on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Glasgow Green and the surrounding area.
Participants will be encouraged to run, walk, swim or cycle by signing up for the Relief Mile, the Relief Swimathon and the Relief Cycle.
The money raised will help disadvantaged people living incredibly tough lives, across the UK and in the world’s poorest communities.
Scottish Rugby Union star, Greig Laidlaw is urging people to get involved: “This message is for you, the great people of Scotland.
“Sport Relief is back and this year Glasgow is the host of one of six Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Flagship Games. Everyone can get involved no matter how sporty you are - so why not grab your friends and family and sign up to walk, run, swim or cycle.
“You won’t just be doing yourself proud, you’ll be doing the whole of Scotland proud as the money you raise will help to change people’s lives right here in Scotland the rest of the UK and across the world.”
