Bellshill face a potentially crunch game against promotion rivals Dunipace on Saturday in their first match under new boss Brian McGinty.
Athletic remain top of the Central First Division table and are unbeaten in the 11 league games played since their opening day defeat at Maryhill.
They are four points ahead of Lesmahagow and 10 ahead of third-placed Saturday’s opponents Dunipace - but Dunipace have two games in hand.
Bellshill’s match at Larkhall on Saturday was called off and they haven’t played a league match since beating Wishaw 4-1 on January 3.
Meanwhile Thorniewood continue their bid to retain their Super League status with an away match at Kilsyth Rangers.
The Viewpark side dropped back to the foot of the table on Saturday when their game with Greenock was postponed and relegation rivals Largs won at fellow strugglers Ardeer.
Kilsyth won 2-1 when the sides met at Robertson Park in November, but Thorniewood have lost just one of the five league games they have played since then.
Both Saturday’s games will start at 2pm, weather permitting.
