Junior sides Thorniewood United and Bellshill Athletic have the same aim of securing vital league points this Saturday, but for different reasons.
Thorniewood entertain Irvine Victoria at Robertson Park as they continue their battle to avoid the drop from the Super League First Division.
The Viewpark side are still bottom of the table but will take encouragement from last week’s draw against runaway leaders Pollok.
Irvine are one of the side United are targeting to overhaul as they currently sit in 10th place, seven points ahead of Thorniewood but with two games more played.
Meanwhile Bellshill continue their bid to regain Super league status when they travel to face Larkhall Thistle.
Athletic moved seven points clear of the pack at the top of the Central League First Division table with Saturday’s win over St Anthony’s.
Bellshill are unbeaten in the league since losing their opening fixture at Maryhill, having won eight and drawn two of their 10 games since.
However one of those draws did come against Larkhall when the sides drew 3-3 at Fullarton Park last month.
Both games kick-off at 1.45pm.
