Motherwell Ladies FC draw Spartans in Scottish Cup semi-finals

Motherwell Ladies have drawn Spartans in today's semi-final draw for the SSE Scottish Cup.

followers of the Women of Steel will no doubt be glad that they have avoided the big two of Glasgow City and Hibernian.

The tie against Spartans is provisionally pencilled in to be played at Forthbank Stadium on Sunday, October 14.

Motherwell Ladies manager Donald Jennow told the Motherwell Times: “It will be a tough game against Spartans.

“There were three SWPL 1 teams in the draw with us so it was going to be tough.

“Spartans’ cup performances so far this season have been excellent.

“They put out a very strong Celtic team in the last round so this is not a preferential draw, that’s for certain.”
