Motherwell ace Taylor-Sinclair: Curtis Main won't shirk taking penalty against Livi if we get one

Motherwell defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair reckons penalty sinner Curtis Main won't shirk his responsibility if the Steelmen are awarded another spot kick in this Saturday's crucial home league match against Livingston, writes Craig Goldthorp.

’Well are just one point off the bottom of the Scottish Premiership and facing a battle against relegation, after Main’s weak effort from 12 yards was saved by Jamie MacDonald in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Kilmarnock.“It’s disappointing,” Taylor-Sinclair told the Motherwell Times.“Curtis normally blasts penalties. Normally you’d back him in that situation.“It’s just unfortunate that he’s missed but I’m sure if we get another one next week he’ll be right on it to take it.“Nine times out of 10 we stick that penalty away.“But these things happen, it’s how you react.“And we’ve not reacted very well after the penalty.”Taylor-Sinclair was making his first start since the 3-0 opening day defeat at Hibernian during last weekend’s loss at Rugby Park.He was blameless for the goals, although manager Stephen Robinson generally blasted his team for not tracking runners for recent goals lost.The left back added: “I’m just trying to get back into games and back to full fitness.“My performance doesn’t really matter because we’ve got beaten. We’re all disappointed in there.“It’s obviously just tracking your men.“Being just a point off the bottom of the league is not concerning because we’ve got a good group here.“We’ve got a good manager that does everything for us.“We just need to get the performances and the results and start kicking up the league and hopefully we’ll start by doing that against Livingston.“On paper we’ve got an easier run of games coming up but Livingston are doing well this season.
