Breaking: Motherwell draw Glentoran or HB Torshavn in Europa League first qualifying round

The draw for the Europa League first qualifying round today (Monday) has handed Motherwell FC a one off tie against either Northern Irish outfit Glentoran or Faroese side HB Torshavn at Fir Park on Thursday, August 27.

The match is the Steelmen's first foray into European competition since they lost 5-4 on aggregate after extra time against Icelandic outfit Stjarnan six years ago.

If they get through, European giants Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are possible opponents in the next round.
