BELLSHILL face a tough task if they are to continue their Emirates Scottish Junior Cup run when they face East Region cracks Bo’ness United at West End Park on Saturday.
Athletic finally got back into playing action last week after two months on the sidelines when they defeated Lanarkshire rivals Shotts in a third round tie, meaning they are still unbeaten since boss Gerry Creaney took over in October.
But that record will get test on Saturday when they square up to Bo’ness, three times Scottish Junior Cup winners and reigning East Region Superleague champions who reached the third round of this season’s senior Scottish Cup, memorably defeating Queen’s Park in a second round upset.
Meanwhile Thorniewood United will have to wait another week to return to action after their home Central League First Division match with St Anthony’s was called off for the sixth time last week.
This Saturday the Viewpark side, who remain top of the table, are due to meet mid-table Dunipace at Robertson Park.
Both Saturday’s games kick-off at 1.45pm.
