JUNIOR sides Thorniewood United and Bellshill both face away games this Saturday as they look to bounce back from defeats on the opening day of the league season.

Thorniewood face East Kilbride Thistle in the Super League First Division while Bellshill are at Shettleston on Central League Division 1 business.

Newly-promoted Thorniewood were given a taste of the task awaiting them in the higher grade when they went down at home to former Premier Division outfit Rutherglen Glencairn and will want to find their feet quickly.

Bellshill are still looking for their first win, having gone down to Greenock in their first league game following defeats in all four of their Surridge Sectional League Cup matches, including a 3-1 home loss to this Saturday’s opponents.

A supporters’ bus for Shettleston will leave The Orb at 1.45pm - for seats phone Alex Conner on 07563605707.

There were no winners in last week’s Bellshill Athletic lottery. This week’s prize remains £2,000.
