EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.
And this week is the turn of crossbreed pooch Martin, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.
The centre’s Gillian Boyle said: “Martin is between two and three-years-old. He is a very handsome young lad who has spent several months in our care with very little interest, which is a huge shame as he is a true gentleman.
“We have found that Martin travels well in the car, sitting on the back seat with his harness on, and he is very well-mannered in the home. “He will go to his bed when asked, doesn’t beg at the table and will sit and wait until he is told before taking any food that is offered to him.
“This loveable lump used to pull like a steam train but now walks much better on the lead. He is house-trained and loves playing with his toys.
“An ideal home for Martin would be one where he will get lots of company and fuss, plenty of good walks and ongoing training.”
If you can give Martin a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.
The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 10am until 4pm
